On February 7th, I notified H&R Block via there customer service number that the Emerald Card (debit card with my tax refund on it) had been stolen. They stated that it would take 3-10 days. On February 22, I called them asking the status of the replacement debit card, customer service stated that they had not sent one because they did not have my address. This is ridiculous---I filed my taxes with them.

I asked her why hadn't anyone notified me via phone. She had no answer. She then stated that the post office got my address mixed with H&R Block and therefore sent it back to them. Which story is true???? I asked to speak to a manager. She stated that she would put me on hold, but there was no guarantee that anyone would pick up. This was a "twilight zone" experience. I then asked her if they would once again re-send me my money and this time sooner than 10 days- since it was there fault. She stated it would be a $35 charge to send it sooner. I declined, hung up and redailed the number hoping to get a manager-instead I got the following message"to speak to a customer service person there will be a $2.00 fee." I admit, I was the fool for using H&R Block, but I will never be a fool again. There customer service ***!!!!! When you email them you only get an automatic reponse that states the following:

Thank you for your email.

Please call 1-86*-353-**** so we can assist you.

I'm having a problem similar to this. I called customer service and asked how i shoulddenie access to a company that was trying to take a 70$ service charge.

Anyway she told me that the best way would be to get a new card. So i said ok I'll call back tomorrow after my unemployment check was directly deposited,then I could drain my funds and then call back to cancel the card. So the *** woman cancelled my card as soon as I hung up the phone. My check was deposited and now I have no way to get to my only source of money.

I've talked to 6 people they all promised that it would be a high emegency case and my case would be reviewed immediatly. Now on day two of my tries to get my card turned back on and they still keep telling me it'll be the next day.

I said I hope this makes you feel better knowing I can't buy food for my kids,or pay my bills because you can't push the on button. Anyway I'm still waiting and my kids are still asking when we can go shopping.Thats my tale of whoa they don't very good customer relations at all they don't care because there family has food in the fridge and thier bills are paid.

Well, Now I'm having the problem now about getting my card I have bills that is pilling up and now I'm getting pissed off b/c they haven't sent my card if they they can pay my bills cause I REALLY NEED MY CARD I HAVE CHILDREN WELL BABIES AND THEY IN NEED FOR pampers,milk and other stuff I hate this had to happen to me

This is response to Laura about her stimulus. It isn't H&R Block's fault.

The IRS decided that they wouldn't mess with putting rebates on any prepaid cards. Unfortunately, you and I and even H&R BLock can do nothing to change the IRS' mind.

:sigh I used h&r block this year, after having doubts because they always screwed my taxes up now they r saying that the tax stimulis wont be deposited on the card. It is a direct deposit card they find any way to give the shaft

I have used H & R Block for 18 years now, and liked them until I was treated the same way regarding my debit card replacement. I will not have my taxes prepared by them ever again either.

ITS H&R BLOCKS BANK THAT HANDLES THE EMERALD CARD NOT THE TAX PREP OFFICES. YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED THEM IF THEY HAVE YOUR CORRECT ADDRESS NOT ALL OFFICES ARE THE SAME ONCE U GET YOUR NEW CARD YOUR MONEY WILL STILL BE THERE WE ARE HONEST PEOPLE ..

i made tons of calls to different ( people) from h&r block they did fail to replace my debit card as they all promice ,it is time to look for onther honset ( people) to do my tax .
