HR Block prepares tax returns - they are not the IRS or State Treasury or the bank from which the Refund anticipation loans are generated and more importantly they are NOT MIND READERS. If your up front with your situation then perhaps you will be told correct information based on you being honest and not just trying to 'get what the government owes you'.

You paid for 8-14 days? Actually, you paid for your tax return and opted for a direct deposit from the IRS. Under normal conditions, the IRS deposits your refund in 8-14 days BUT if you owe back taxes, child support, or someone else claims your dependents the IRS can and will hold up your refund until the problem is cleared up. You see, the tax preparer is not aware of your back taxes or child support or other things most people don't tell them about. If tax preparers ask, usually the client will not tell the truth about these things. Oh, another thing. IF you applied for a RAC, and H&R Block was to be paid from your refund, guess what? They NEVER got paid. That means you ripped them off. Think about it and tell all the facts. We will wait ....... :grin

"after they admitted it was THERIE stupidity." .....wow... and you call them stupid? You picked up your check three times? Yea, right.... if you did, it would seem you got way too much money...but I suppose you would complain if they hung you with a new rope. :grin

I agree whole heartedly. We were supposed to have our state back in 2 to 3 weeks. It took like 4 months. And last year. Our check had to be picked up 3 times because they kept double printing them. This was before we learned they messed up our return which we did not get a complete refund when they fixed it (after they admitted it was therie stupidity.)

Ahhh you didn't pay for a refund in 8-14 days? You paid a professional to prepare your tax return. It is not the preparers fault the Internal Revenue didn't refund as quickly as you wanted. Maybe you owe back taxes. Maybe you owe back child support. There are many reasons the IRS can hold or delay a refund. But for you to blame the preparer is unreasonable and shows you don't know what you are talking about. Shame on you.

The IRS does give guide lines of 8-15 days on direct deposits your bank may take up to 2 days to post it to your account. IRS guideline is 4-6 weeks if you request a check.
