Been a customer for 5 or 6 years, no problem. Thinking of retiring, and have a wife already on SSS, and wondered how much taxes would come out if I retired too, along with my 401k. Call them up. DESPERATELY unable to understand what I am talking about. I finally get a District Manager "Anthony Riddle" to set me up with an expert.
I get there, I even bring my 2017 tax forms(which H&R Block did) and my SSS and 401k forms, which say "Here's how much you'd have if you retired now" on them, figuring this is no big deal, right? They just run everything they already have, make some changes, and it will say whether I owe taxes or not!
He spends a full minute fingering thru forms without actually reading them, and asks me: "How much do you have?" I say I don;t understand. He says again " So what's yer retirement?" Not sure, I say "You mean, how much do I have? That's whY I'm HERE!"
He then calls me on my attitude. That's when I realize this *** is totally UNABLE to figure out what to do.
So, *** H&R Block. Or, as Johnny Carson used to say, "H&R GANEF"
