HR Block

After days of attempting to contact h&r block, below is the email I wrote via this site. It provides them with the incidents that took place and practices in which their names on:

I have had an extremely deceitful experience with my tax return at HR Block.

My tax preparer was a vicious and intentionally unethical individual whom both mishandled my taxes (wrongfully advising me that I didn't need to include my BTC purchases if it was for online gambling and I lost it) and manipulated the trust I had placed into what had seemed to be an innocent lady.(Being evasive to answering my questions about potential costs; putting it off saying "we'll get to that in a second" and "it was just on the screen, but im actually going to get you a coupon/discount applied to that so it will be less, hold on". [She stands up and walks away and returns with what I assumed to be a coupon she appeared to be punching a code of it into her computer] She did in fact give me a number of what Im pretty sure was $260 but had presented it to be too much and said something about the system having two different charges that she was trying to remove the 'duplicated charge' -the term she had used. She said it wasn't letting her take it out and this was when she had got up and came back with a coupon I seen a number come up after she punched the code i I'm almost certain was $80. But she had said "okay I was able to adjust it for you I'm not sure why that's entered twice, but I was able to knock a decent portion off" this is the reason I became curious to how much I was being charged.

To be completely honest I myself have only filed taxes once prior to this; I am still relatively young, yet not a fool can be taken advantage of. I digress, to be completely honest I had feared the refund advance I went in and applied for at Jackson Hewitt was somehow going to be coming out of my refund. I had a similar terrible experience with them and very alike practices were taken. Anyways I assumed this was what she was referring to but after looking into a brief research on this whole tax thing, I had realized it was not this.

But I had kept asking how much it was going to be and this is where she had been invasive and told me whats quoted above.

Long story short I get a notification my Ohio tax return was received and that she was taking all of it and leaving me with none of it $290.

I now realize that this was stolen from me, after reviewing both IRS policy, h&r block policy ( pertaining to negligence of and falsification her checklist _documented on site made evident) as well as legislation on tax fraud. I wanted to bring this to h&r block's attention, after attempting to contact her had failed, in hopes to resolve this entire incident much less simpler than the steps i am advised to take afterward.

DoStayFraudState refund stolen from emerald card I was crying beside myself a mom who counted on this I wish I looked up this card company I see they deny everyone so never received any call email 6 business days later I called told was denied

I get letter reason I live close I never even heard of this town never been to it never been drove through it I mapped it it's over 40 minutes from where I live another reason my pen several times I had air of my pen I called in I was told not to worry they set me up with an open and actually the same night my refund got stolen it happened that night I called in and another reason was my card they sent me so many cards with the same number on it how many more are out there these reasons are not acceptable state refund gets stolen from me my kids we needed that and I'm just supposed to say okay and someone gets away with my money they need to find out who did this and prosecute this isn't right and I'm not going to stop until I get my money back I even asked who's the investigator can I call can I talk to someone nobody has any answers I said kid you guys get the camera video from wherever this what this happened where they did these transactions cuz it's unbelievable this never happened to me before another I never received any alerts never with my card when it was used nothing now when they cancel that card and gave me another card I wouldn't notification set that up but again they said they mailed me up a card never received that either again I have never been to this town I didn't even know my state had been deposited and that same night I was on the phone with customer service the phone number on the back of the card because there was an air again with my pin this isn't right I really need somebody to help me and help me get my tax money back this isn't fair at all and they say by the location I never even heard of this town that these transactions were taken I will not give up I will keep going and going to every news outlet every online platform till somebody helps me someone who did this and took install all my tax money needs to be found and prosecuted I'm not going to walk away and just say okay bye-bye my money that's not right what h&r block you guys are doing is not right and I see this has happened to several a lot of other people that denial this is my tax money and it was stole

On February 27th I set an appointment with Ana C at the St.Robert MO location to file my taxs. I made a mistake and forgot one of my taxes, so I went to my parents where the tax paper was located and brought it back to the person up front and she said she would give it to Ana and get back to me.

Its been over a week and Ive been trying to get ahold of Ana by email and she wont respond. I have tried calling but I cant seem to get to who I need to at this location a lot of transferring. I am about to go in and ask for my papers and go somewhere else. It feels like after 7 years of using H&R my service is no longer wanted.

The email Im using to contact her is the one I saved from last year because I had her due my taxes last year and the experience was great. This year its not the same.

My name is Chelsea I filed my taxes with your Lake City FL office and was estimated to receive my refund on February 27.2024. After not getting my refund and spending 3 days non stop on phone to IRS I was informed that not only did the tax preparer enter my wrong year of birth he also had my earned income credit and refund backwards and on wrong lines on form.

I now have to wait to be mailed a CP05 form that can't even be mailed to March 11 then fill it out and return it then once it's received I should get refund 120 days afterwards per IRS. So approx. 5 months AFTER I should get it. Just to ensure you understand my delima.

I am a single mom of 2 girls, no help from the dad financially or anyone else. My 2011 Hyundai accent and only ride blew up in October which cost me my job being I live 18 miles out of town I can't walk nor find a ride. I've been waiting on my tax return to purchase a used car since October. Now being your incompetent tax preparer has messed my taxes up I'll probably loose my home as well.

So please explain to me how hr block is going to fix this ASAP being it was your mistake and y'all guarantee accuracy. Otherwise I will be seeking pro bono legal council immediately to take action on your guarantee. I'm not including my correct phone number as it's turned off from non pymt as well but can use neighbor wifi so request correspondence be done thru this email.

Also I would like to have all communication in writing. Thank you

In 2022, my personal taxes were not filed due to an accounting error & didnt show that I paid for my stuff, which I did. I have asked them to send me my taxes and it has been several months now, still had not.

2023, I gave them my taxes & they were supposed to file them, or at least submit an extension, which they did neither of. Then after that, it took several months for me to get a response from them, just to tell me that they never filed them, that they fired my original accountant & that I was subject to nearly 5k in fines. They said they would make good on it...

this was 2 months ago and they came back stating that I never submitted my stuff, which I could verify had been done on their website. What a C.F.
