HR Block - Taxes are still not even showing as received!
My mother recently passed away and I had to file her last tax return. I sent them off April 30th and it's still not even showing up ON the IRS.GOV website that they've even been received! I paid $114.00 and for what?
User's recommendation: Don't go there.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
HR Block Pros: I wish i stayed with turbo tax.
HR Block Cons: Phone access overload and plagued by automated speeches, Tax knowledge and ability to resolve the problem.

Did IRS cash the check you sent with the return? If so, then they got the return and it could be delayed for any number of reasons.
If you cannot find they processed the check thru your bank, then assume they never got the return and file another.
If IRS does have the original, they will inform you this latest return is a duplicate, etc. However, the key is whether or not IRS received and cashed the check.
The advantage of proper shipping is the avoidance of problems such as you have described. I'm assuming you did not file electronically but in the usual USPS format.
